About Us

Essikado Energy Limited (EEL) is a 100% Ghanaian owned indigenous company that is the concessionaire and developer of one of Africa’s first eco-friendly energy hubs that includes: The Bansu Solar Powered Storage Terminal, the largest tank farm in West Africa and the Bansu Renewable Oil Refinery, Ghana‘s first co-processing oil refinery.  Conceived in 2011, EEL was officially incorporated in 2022 by Eric Owiredu Akrofi and Christopher Samson Andoh.  Alongside a consortium of business executives and professionals, our team collectively has over 100 years of experience in Oil and Gas both in the upstream and downstream sectors. 

Our Vision: To become the premier storage tank terminal and refinery for the oil and gas industry in Ghana including the subregion, while setting the tone and direction for renewable energy efficient terminals and refineries of the future in Africa.
